The Story (written by owner Pat Inman):
“The quilt pattern is named Linked Hearts and features two different colored hearts intertwined and surrounded by a solid color. When choosing the pattern for my barn quilt I searched through patterns online until one pattern spoke to me. I wanted the barn quilt to represent the Inman family with meaning.
Linked Hearts has great meaning for our family. First of all our hearts are surrounded by the love of Jesus represented by the background color, purple, for his majesty. the cedar green heart represents John Inman, who was the patriarch of our family, and also our son, Jay. The green signifies their love of nature and God’s creations. The pink buff intertwined heart represents me, the matriarch, and our daughter, Shelly. The pink signifies our love of all things feminine and beautiful.
Each of our children have grown and married and continue the Linked Hearts tradition with their own families. There are new seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. And although John has been in heaven since 1980 his training and love for us and the confirming love of our Lord have only solidified our Linked Hearts throughout the years.
The addition of Barn Quilts to many homes in Ashtabula County is a thrilling enhancement to our country culture. I am happy to be a part of this new country theme.
